Apple has officially announced today that its upcoming major event would take place on September 12, as had been rumored a few weeks back.

On September 12 at 10 AM PT, Apple will unveil the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max (perhaps renamed iPhone 15 Ultra). As usual, this will be broadcast via the Apple TV app and online at apple.com.

In this case, Apple's tagline/phrase is "Wonderlust," which is a play on the word "wanderlust," which denotes "a strong desire to travel. That would therefore be translated as "a strong desire to be wowed." In Apple's case, perhaps? Apple has a strategy when we are left, well, wondering.

All four of the new iPhones will include USB-C ports as a result of a recent EU regulation requiring them. Furthermore, according to reports, the iPhone 15 Pro Max / Ultra is the first Apple smartphone equipped with a periscope zoom camera. Instead of stainless steel, the frames of both Pro models are predicted to be built of titanium. The iPhone 15 series will include Dynamic Island and a customizable "Action button" in place of the mute switch.

Apple could decide to update its AirPods so that they now include USB-C connectors as well. It is anticipated that the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 will also appear in the program.
