Audio and Video Calls Now Available on X for Android Users
X, previously known as Twitter, has expanded its repertoire by introducing voice and video call functionalities for Android users. This feature, which has been accessible to iOS users since October, is now making its debut on the Android platform.
Similar to its iOS counterpart, making outgoing calls on X requires a subscription to X Premium, while users on the free tier are limited to receiving incoming calls only.
The new audio and video call features can be found within the Direct Message (DM) settings tab. Users have the flexibility to manage their call preferences through the settings page, where they can specify who is allowed to call them. Options include contacts in their address book, verified users, and accounts they follow.
For a more in-depth understanding of the audio and video call functionalities, users can refer to the X Help Center for additional details. Stay connected with X in more ways than ever before.
