Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin teamed up to create the mega-hit game of 2022, Elden Ring. With a whopping 324 'Game of the Year' awards and over 20 million copies sold within just one year, this game has taken the industry by storm. And now, brace yourself, because Elden Ring is about to reach your pocket.

According to insiders, the gaming giant Tencent is gearing up to adapt Elden Ring for mobile platforms. But until that happens, you can still dive into the action on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Reports suggest that Tencent, based in China, acquired the licensing rights for Elden Ring from FromSoftware. They've assembled a team of experts to craft the mobile version, though progress seems to be moving at a snail's pace, sources familiar with the matter revealed.

Originally priced at $60, Elden Ring flew off the shelves, selling around 20 million copies in its debut year, securing its spot as the world's second-best-selling game. Even billionaire Elon Musk counts himself among its fans.

While Elden Ring was initially marketed as a premium game with a fixed price tag, Tencent has a different vision. They're eyeing a model akin to the wildly successful Genshin Impact: free-to-play with in-app purchases. However, Tencent's recent ventures have only sometimes hit the mark, despite past successes like PUBG Mobile.

As of now, neither Tencent nor FromSoftware has commented on these developments.

About the Game:

To reclaim the title of Elden Lord and restore the Elden Ring, players assume the role of a customizable character. Players can explore the game's expansive, immersive universe as it takes place in the third person. Players explore six locations while riding the dependable steed Torrent, learning how to use a range of weapons and magic spells, and finding secret dungeons. There are checkpoints throughout the place, and players may use runes, the in-game money, to improve their skills and move quickly.
