Elon Musk to change Twitter as X, removing the iconic bird logo

Twitter will change its name to X, and Elon Musk will get rid of the blue bird logo. The announcement from the social media's owner over the weekend sparked a flurry of rumors, but recently appointed CEO Linda Yaccarino clarified that X will be "the future state of unlimited interactivity - focused on audio, video, messaging, payments/banking." The executive noted that the updated platform will be "powered by AI".

The words "soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand, and, gradually, all the birds" appeared in a late-night Saturday post. The x.com domain already points to twitter.com, and everything will go live in a few hours. Company leaders have verified that Twitter Inc. has been renamed to X Corp. in the State of Nevada, with its headquarters located in San Francisco, a region of California.

The microblogging service Twitter has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons ever since Elon Musk bought it. Currently, the business is going through a shift that may not sit well with many.

Additionally, it has been made known that visiting x.com will link visitors to Twitter. Since Musk bought the social networking site last year, this could be the biggest development to occur.

The platform is experiencing some problems due to impending significant changes and Elon Musk's attempts to rework the platform to fit his vision.

The site has recently undergone considerable changes, including the dismissal of several top executives and staff, the reversal of content moderation rules, the restriction of normal users' access, and more.

The cash flow of the soon-to-be-renamed platform is still declining by 50% right now. One of the initiatives to get money back on the table was the introduction of Twitter Blue, which allowed anyone to pay $8/mo for a fancy blue tick that reads "Verified" and gives more features, including editing tweets, a greater character limit, and ad revenue income.
