In terms of specs for the price, the Galaxy A54 made its debut earlier this year. The Exynos 1380 chip and the handset's large display bezels, although sharing a similar appearance with the Galaxy S23 series, elicited conflicting reviews from users. The Galaxy A55, Samsung's upcoming premium mid-range smartphone, is reportedly being tested right now. Exynos processor upgrades are reportedly coming for the device. Details are provided below.

Samsung is testing the Galaxy A55 with a CPU with the model number S5E8845, according to a GalaxyClub report. The Exynos 1480 chipset, code-named "Rose," is most likely it. This is due to the Exynos 1280's designation of S5E8825 and the 1380's designation of S5E8835. It stands to reason that the Exynos 1480 will power the Galaxy A55 as the next two CPUs were used in the Galaxy A53 and A54.

The article also suggests that an AMD graphics chip will support the Exynos 1480. This supports a prior leak from informant Revegnus, who stated that the forthcoming mid-range Exynos SoCs will include an AMD mRDNA-based GPU. The tipper cautioned against placing too much stock on this GPU, though.

According to the source, the Galaxy A55 will have the same 50MP main sensor as the Galaxy A54, therefore there won't be any camera improvements. This might imply that the phone will still include a 12MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro camera.

The Galaxy A55's other specifications are currently unknown. Based on Samsung's typical timeline, we may anticipate the device's release in March of next year. The smartphone should include a 120Hz AMOLED display, a 5,000mAh battery, and Samsung's lightning-quick 25W charging technology.
