The Gionee M12 Pro was previously launched in China with the Helio P60 SoC, 6.2-inch display and an HD+ resolution of 720×1520 in September. The Gionee M12 was launched in two variants in Nigeria.

The Gionee M12 runs on Android 10 OS with the trendy magic green and dazzling black colour that changes it’s hue when tilted. It came with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio on a 6.55-inch IPS LCD display with a screen-to-body ratio of 91 percent.
There is a 16-megapixel selfie camera shooter with no flash, but supports face unlock. It has a quad rear camera setup placed vertically at the back with a 48-megapixel as the main sensor. The 48-megapixel is the Samsung GD1 lens with f/1.79 aperture, an ultrawide shooter with 115-degree FOV and a pair of 2-megapixels auxiliary lenses. The fingerprint sensor is placed close to the top for easy access. There is a microSD card slot for additional storage up to 256GB.

The phone was launched in two variants; the Helio A25 and Helio P22. The Helio A25 variant has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The Helio P22 variant has a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 5100mAh supports fast charging up to 10W. There is a dual 4G voLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, USB-C, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 3.5mm audio jack and a rear fingerprint sensor.
