Google AI Launches New Tool to Summarize Long Articles
In the Search Labs section of its Google Search app for Android and iOS, Google just debuted a new feature. The new technology, which is a component of the Search Generative Experience (SGE), is distinct from Google's AI chatbot Bard. This one will soon be made accessible for Chrome as well and seeks to enhance search results.
The new tool from SGE aims to improve user interaction with lengthy publications by breaking down the text into important sections. It will be especially helpful for those who are unfamiliar with a certain subject. Google stated that content behind a paywall will not be compatible with the functionality.
Additionally, links to the area where the information was obtained by the generative tool will be included in the created key points. Users might use this to verify the facts and get more details. By pulling responses from the article, the tool also assists users in providing solutions to specific inquiries.
The new Search Labs function is now only available in English and to a small number of US users; no release date for a global deployment has been announced.
