Google Gmail Users Can Soon React to Emails with Emojis

google gmail

Google Gmail users could soon be able to reply to emails with emoji’s in Google's Gmail. The Gmail client for Apple devices has secret coding that provides this information. Words might be slow at times. Without typing everything out, an emoji may convey "Nice work!" or "Thank you!". But be cautious—you wouldn't want to send the incorrect emoji, especially if it involved your job.

Emoji’s are not entirely new in this functionality. Outlook email from Microsoft already offers a feature like this. When responding to an email, you can select an emoji from the six available by tapping on a happy face. When may this brand-new Gmail function launch? Although the code is present, we are unsure of the exact timing. Also unknown is if it will be available simultaneously to Apple and Android users.

Emoji’s are being used for more than only messaging buddies, in brief. They are appearing in more official areas, like emails. The possibility of this capability being added to Google Gmail might make emailing a little faster and more enjoyable. Emoji’s have their place and time, so use them appropriately.
