playstore 002

Excited about simplifying your app management across your devices? Well, Google is gearing up to roll out a handy feature that lets you uninstall apps remotely directly from your Play Stor

Originally promised with the Play Store v38.3 update, the release got a slight delay and is now expected to make its debut with v38.8. The folks at Android Headlines, dissecting the code, found this feature to be quite promising. Think of it as your universal app manager, empowering you to bid farewell to unwanted apps from any connected device, not just your Android smartphone.

While the installation process remains straightforward, Google has added a bit of complexity to uninstalling apps. Once this feature is live, to kick off an app removal, tap your profile icon in the Play Store and choose "Manage apps & device." Then, head to the "Manage" tab, select your current device name, and a list of all your connected devices will pop up.

Now comes the fun part. Pick the device you want to target, browse through the app list, and cherry-pick the apps you want to bid farewell to. Wrap up the process by tapping the delete icon in the top-right corner.

This convenient feature is a game-changer for those juggling multiple gadgets. No more physical hopping from one device to another just to get rid of those pesky apps.

And as if that wasn't enough, the feature also lets you sort your apps by size. Easily pinpoint those bulky app monsters that are hogging your device's resources and kick them to the curb for a noticeable performance boost.

But wait, there's more! Google plans to extend this functionality to various platforms, including Android Auto, PCs, Android phones, TVs, and Wear OS devices. Streamlining app management across the board.
