iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max: Apple's New Flagship Phones with Titanium Frames, A17 Chip, and More
This is the big fall launch. The standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, the more compact iPhone 15 Pro, and the Pro Max are the four new models that Apple has added to the iPhone 15 series. The USB-C connector is seen to be the most noteworthy of these modifications that they all bring. We'll talk about the additional new features that have been added to the Pro phones in this piece.
Design, Display, and Other Specs
This year's iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models have some observable design changes. The biggest improvements have been made to the construction quality. Apple has turned to a new titanium alloy for its chassis rather than sticking with stainless steel. In comparison to steel, titanium has a few benefits, including being both stronger and lighter. The Dynamic Island, which is present on the front of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, has been enhanced to do more tricks.
A solid-state Action button, which takes the place of the conventional mute switch, is another intriguing innovation. In addition to its standard mute switch functionality, it can be programmed to carry out a series of actions including opening the camera app, activating shortcuts or accessibility features, beginning a voice note, and more.
The 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch OLED screens on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are both still there, but they have been improved in terms of brightness, LTPO controller efficiency, and bezel thickness. Both devices include an Always-on display and an adjustable refresh rate (ProMotion-enabled).
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max receive the latest A17 Bionic technology, unlike its less premium siblings. It is the first mobile SoC to be produced using a 3nm manufacturing technology and delivers improved processing speed and efficiency. It has a 6-core CPU and a 6-core GPU, which is one more core than the A16 chip's graphics. You get up to 1TB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM.
An enhanced 48MP IMX803 primary camera with better low-light capabilities is included in the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. The Pro Max's telephoto lens has a 120mm focal length and a 5x optical zoom.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max receives updated battery packs everywhere. They both charge using a USB-C connector, which, cue the drumroll, also allows for data transfers of up to 10Gbps via an additional USB3 cable. Software-wise, iOS 16 is installed on both smartphones.
Pricing, color, and Availability
Black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium, and more will all be available for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The base-model iPhone 15 Pro costs $999, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max goes for $1,199. The iPhone 15 Pro Max's base storage choice will be 256GB, as compared to 128GB on the Pro model.
