According to rumors, MediaTek will release its much-awaited MediaTek Dimensity 9300 flagship CPU this month, just in time for Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 debut on October 26, 2023. The most recent information from a reliable leaker shows that the forthcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9300's CPU clock rates, structure, and GPU are far better than we previously anticipated.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 is expected to be an octa-core CPU processor with 8 CPU performance cores and no CPU efficiency cores, the first of its type in the Android smartphone market, according to information shared by well-known leaker Digital Chat Station on the Chinese social media site Weibo. With 1 ARM Cortex X4 Prime core, 3 ARM Cortex X4 cores, and 4 ARM Cortex A720 cores, the CPU core structure seems to have a 1+3+4 structure.

According to a Weibo post, the CPU's maximum clock speed is anticipated to exceed 3.25 GHz, while the GPU inside is the most recent ARM Immortalis G720 MC12 GPU for mobile CPUs. Additionally, Digital Chat Station reported that, in both the CPU and GPU categories of the Antutu v10 test results, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 outperformed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. As for the Dimensity 9300's power efficiency, Digital Chat Station says he's staying quiet about it until MediaTek officially introduces its flagship SoC this month.

TSMC's renowned N4P process, a 4 nm production node that offers a performance boost and noticeable power efficiency advantages over the other N5 and N4 processes, was previously confirmed to be used to produce the MediaTek Dimensity 9300. The Cortex-X4 processors in the Dimensity 9300 are also expected to boost performance by 15% and cut battery use by 40%. Additionally, a 20% improvement in energy efficiency is anticipated for the Cortex-A720 cores.
