My Resolution
From the specification comparison above we can see that both the Helio G96 and G99 are very comparable in the Connectivity segment and the Display and Camera support segment, with the MediaTek Helio G99 taking the W in the Performance and Benchmark segment.
The main issue with the Helio G96 chipset was its overheating problem when high-intensive gaming or other GPU-intense tasks were going on. But this has now been corrected with MediaTek's G99 chip. For this reason, the MediaTek G99 wins, also due to its high frequency and architecture.
