OnePlus 12 Camera Setup Rumored to Mirror OnePlus Open and Oppo Find N3
The company's chief of operations in China, Louis Jie, said that the OnePlus 12 will be equipped with a 50 MP primary camera that uses a Sony LYT-808 sensor. He posted a sneak peek image of all three Hasselblad-branded cameras, showing that the ultra-wide camera would feature a 48 MP sensor and the periscope lens with a 3x telephoto zoom would have a 64 MP imager. A 13-channel multi-spectral sensor is also incorporated to increase the camera arrangement's potential.
The configuration may sound familiar, but it is precisely the same as on the Oppo Find N3 and the OnePlus Open; the internal architecture and design are the only differences.

Although there has long been information on the primary sensor, we now have more proof that OnePlus chose to take precautions with its next flagship device. We've already evaluated the Open and the Find N3, which are nearly identical, and we thought both cameras had good camera experiences for both still and moving images.
Because the OnePlus 12 is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU, we think its image quality will be marginally improved. With the new SoC, Qualcomm claimed AI-enhanced photography capabilities for all phones, including generative AI to stretch photos beyond the originally collected data, object erasers for films, and Semantic Segmentation to improve the brightness and detail of photographs in real life.
The manufacturer will determine how to include these capabilities in the OnePlus 12, which will go on sale in China on December 5 and go on sale globally on January 24, 2024.
