Oppo A2 Pro with flagship Dimensity 7050 and stunning display debuts in China.
The new Oppo A2 Pro smartphone has now gone on sale in China, the company's native market. The brand-new product from the firm is a mid-range phone with some noteworthy specifications and features.
The Chinese tech giant's A2 Pro smartphone, while being a mid-range device, has a leather back cover on one model. A hybrid material is used in the more reasonably priced variant. The picture sensors and LED flash are located on a sizable camera island on the rear. The standard model weighs 183 grams and has a thickness of 7.99mm. The leather version, meanwhile, has a thickness of 8.04mm and weighs 185 grams. Notably, the apparatus has a specific anti-fall construction for longer durability.
To assist the smartphone in resisting falls, this thickens and strengthens the device's edges. The front, on the other hand, has a punch hole cutout that is centered. A large 6.7-inch curved OLED display measuring 920 nits in peak brightness, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, Full HD+ resolution, and 1.07 billion colors is featured on the Oppo A2 Pro. Additionally, this panel features thin bezels, a 100% DCI P3 color gamut, better eye protection, and 2160Hz PWM dimming.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 512GB of internal UFS 3.1 storage are the core components of the A2 Pro variant. This smartphone has a large 5,000mAh battery capacity and supports 67W rapid charging. A 64-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait sensor make up the dual camera arrangement on the back. The 64MP camera has a six-elementelement lens, and autofocus, and is capable of recording in up to 4K at 30 frames per second.
The smartphone has an 8-megapixel front camera for taking selfies and making video calls. Additional noteworthy features include a virtual RAM extension up to 12GB, IP54 dust and water resistance, an under-display fingerprint reader, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6, and ColorOS 13.1 out of the box, which is based on Android 13.
Numerous color possibilities for the Oppo A2 Pro, including Twilight (Pink), Vast Black, and Desert Brown (Leather), were unveiled. The 8GB + 256GB model starts at 1,799 Yuan (about $250), while the 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants are priced at 1,999 Yuan (approximately 275 USD) and 2,399 Yuan (approximately 330 USD), respectively. The smartphone is presently up for pre-order, with the beginning of the initial sales on September 22 in China.
