Oppo Find X7 Ultra: Dual-Periscope, Sony 1-inch Sensor
Oppo revealed its latest flagship today, introducing the Find X7 Ultra, a smartphone boasting several industry firsts. Notably, it features the world's inaugural dual-periscope telephoto cameras and claims the title of the first device to incorporate a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor.
Continuing their successful collaboration with Swedish company Hasselblad, Oppo has fine-tuned the quad-camera setup of the Find X7 Ultra. The device incorporates the HyperTone engine, ensuring that captured photos retain a natural look without compromising on quality.
At the front, the Find X7 Ultra sports a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution. With a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits and ProXDR support for Ultra HDR, Oppo aims to deliver a visually immersive experience.
Beneath its sleek exterior, the Find X7 Ultra houses a formidable engine, boasting the cutting-edge Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Teamed up with a generous up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM, the device ensures swift and efficient multitasking capabilities. Furthermore, the smartphone offers ample storage with its 512 GB UFS 4.0, providing users with substantial space for apps, media, and data. This powerful combination guarantees a seamless and responsive user experience, making the Find X7 Ultra a powerhouse in the world of flagship smartphones.
However, the real standout is the camera system. Boasting four powerful 50 MP sensors, including a second-generation 1-inch Sony LYT-900 stacked sensor in the wide camera, the Find X7 Ultra delivers exceptional photography capabilities. The ultra-wide-angle shooter features a new Sony LYT-600 sensor with autofocus, enabling shots as close as 4 cm.
The dual-periscope solution is a highlight, retaining the 65mm 3x periscope camera from the Oppo Find X6 Pro and introducing a 135mm 6x telephoto camera. Oppo claims seamless zooming between 14 mm and 270 mm without noticeable degradation in image quality.
The camera app includes a Master Mode, developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, offering an advanced Pro mode for precise image tuning and RAW shooting capabilities. A 16-bit RAW MAX mode is slated for release in March through a software update.
Powering this innovative device is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Oppo Find X7 Ultra ships with Android 14 and ColorOS.
Despite its compelling features, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra is initially limited to the Chinese market. Pricing starts at CNY5,999 ($840) for the 12/256 GB variant, CNY6,499 ($910) for the 16/256 GB model, and CNY6,999 ($980) for the top-tier 16/512 GB option.
