The Oraimo FreePods 3C is a budget earbud that samples the popular Freepods 3 released a while ago. It comes in at a friendly price and is not as expensive as the freepods 3. This review will examine the earbud's features and if you should spend money buying it. There are other Oraimo Earbuds, like the FreePods 4 or FreePods Lite, that we have discussed, and they are good alternatives. Our review of Oraimo Freepods 3C

7 / 10Review score

Positives

  • Good Sound Quality
  • Excellent Battery Life
  • Good For Calls
  • Ergonomic Fit

Negatives

  • Glossy Case is Prone to Stains
  • No Active Noise Cancellation

If you have seen any of my earbud reviews, you will know I always start with sound and call quality. They are the most essential feature of any earbud. The earbud is bass-heavy and might even be better than some expensive buds out there. The vocals are separated nicely from the instrumental, and there isn’t any sound muffle while listening to any genre of music. The buds come with 13mm susceptible drivers, and they come out decent even when listening to songs with mid and high frequencies.

You experience every sound in an instrument when you turn the volume high. It is a fantastic earbud with a solid sound like its predecessors. You can also tweak the sound of the buds using the Oraimo Sound App. There are five EQ modes, and you will find something you like with the app. It is exceptional in terms of sound quality, and there isn’t much to dislike when considering pricing.

Call Quality

There are four microphones on the earbud, with two on each earbud. They deliver a rich call quality that you will like. It also comes with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) that cancels out noise when making a call in a noisy environment. The buds also use a Deep Neural Network algorithm to reduce noise. Your voice will be crystal clear when you use the buds for calls.

Oraimo FreePods 3C Design

The charging case has a glossy finish that attracts stains, and it comes close to the Freepods 3 in terms of design. There is an Oraimo branding in front of the case, and the USB C charging port is at the bottom. The charging case is compact and fits into any pocket or bag because of its size. The bud has a stem-style design, and it also has some touch controls. The ear tip can be removed, but if you want heavy bass, you must keep it on. Without the ear tip, there is going to be a sound leak while listening to music; the only advantage of using it without ear tips is that you will be aware of your environment. With the ear tips, Oraimo Calls it Bass Mode; without the tips, they call it Awareness Mode. If they keep the Freepods 3C and FreePods 3, you won’t be able to separate them with just a glance. It is made of plastic and it’s durable even if it falls it won’t break. The design isn’t new, as it was repackaged with a glossy finish this time. It has an IPX5 waterproof rating against water, meaning you can use it for workouts even in the rain.

Oraimo FreePods 3C Connectivity & Battery Life

The Earbud uses Bluetooth 5.3 and supports AAC and SBC Codecs for playing music at low latency. The Bluetooth connectivity is instant, with minimal lags when you use the gaming mode. There is a millisecond delay when you tap on the buds to play or pause music. The game mode also helps while playing games and watching videos with the bud.

You will get eight hours of listening time with the buds, and if you combine it with the carry case, you will get up to 28 hours of listening time. If you charge the buds in the case for 10 minutes, you will get 140 minutes of playtime. Charging the buds takes slightly above an hour, and it will be challenging to finish the battery in a day. I doubt anyone can use an earbud for 8 hours without removing it.

Other Features of the Earbud

The buds have touch control that lets you play or pause music. You can also use it to pick up calls with a single tap when your phone is ringing or summon SIRI or Google Assistant. There is the Oraimo Sound App; you need to download it to get the best out of the earbud. You can control and customize the buds using the app, and it also lets you know the battery condition of the charging case and buds. It is a must to download the Oraimo Sound app to enjoy using the buds. The buds work with IOS and Android devices, and the app is supported by both operating systems.

Final Verdict

The Oraimo FreePods 3C comes with a pocket-friendly price and delivers in terms of music and calls. It can be a great option if you want something that offers a well-balanced listening experience without spending too much. Let us know in the comment If you want us to compare this with the Oraimo Riff. You can also ask any question if you want to know anything about the buds. Cheers.
