Leaks Indicate Slight Increase for the Price of the Z Flip5 and Z Fold5
Prices have increased somewhat for the Galaxy Z Flip5 but significantly more for the Z Fold5.
Although the Samsung Unpacked for the upcoming Galaxy foldable is still a few weeks away, the leaks have been plentiful.
Samsung is now accepting reservations for those that want to be among the first set of people to use the devices.
Now French publication Dealabs has shared a leak on the local pricing of the two foldable. Starting with the Galaxy Z Flip5, there’s no mention of a 128GB model – either that detail didn’t leak, or Samsung will move the base up to 256GB. As for the 256GB model, it is facing a modest price hike of €30 and will cost €1,200, the 512GB one will be €50 more. This is not nearly as bad as the earlier leak, which priced the 128GB model at €1,300.
Four colors—Graphite, Cream, Lavender, and Water Green—will be offered for the flip. The business typically saves a few exclusive colors just for Samsung.com, so there should be more. The Z Flip5 will most likely be included in the Bespoke program.
The Galaxy Z Fold5 will see a more significant price increase after this. The price increase will be €100 for the 256GB base model and €120 for the 512GB and 1TB variants.
This means that locals must pay €1,900 at the low end. Well, not really – Samsung’s launch deals and trade-in offers will bring the effective price down. Still, if you were hoping that foldable tech would get cheaper, that isn’t happening this generation.
Three colors—Black, Cream, and Blue—as well as the as-yet-unknown Samsung.com exclusives will be offered with the Z Fold5.
Remember that these rates are for France; other European nations will have slightly different price tags due to VAT variations. The Z Flip4 and Z Fold4's initial retail prices in the US, the UK, and India are listed below.
The Galaxy Z Flip5 (256GB) should cost $1,025/£1,025/97,500 in those territories, and the Galaxy Z Fold5 (256GB) should cost $1,900/£1,740/164,000, according to a simple calculation based on those old prices and the corresponding increase of the new prices.
