Realme unveils V50 and V50s: Dimensity 6100 Plus, 120Hz display

realme v50 series

Two new low-cost smartphones from Realme have been surreptitiously released in China. They belong to the same series and are both 5G capable.

Realme V50 and Realme V50s are the names of these gadgets. They have the same specifications even though they go by various names. The more expensive V50s is an unlocked model, but the less expensive V50 is a carrier variation.

The camera module of the Realme V50 series is round, and the device has a flat frame design. They weigh 190g and have a thickness of 7.89mm.

The handsets are designed to have a 6.72-inch punch-hole display in the middle. With its peak brightness of 680 nits, refresh rate of 120 Hz, and resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), this LCD panel has it all.

Moreover, a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus processor powers them. In terms of software, they boot Realme UI 4.0, which is based on Android 13.

On the rear, they have a twin-camera arrangement. An unidentified secondary sensor—likely a depth sensor—is linked to the main 13MP camera. In contrast, an 8MP camera for video calls and selfies is located on the front.

Along with a 3.5mm headphone connector, MicroSD card slot, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and 5,000mAh battery, the devices also have other features. Their charging speed isn't mentioned. Their compatibility for standard 10W or 18W charging is therefore likely supported.

The Realme V50 and Realme V50s are nearly identical to the Realme 11x, which has a 64MP primary camera and supports 33W charging, as was previously announced.
