Build: thanks to the weight reduction in Redmi10 0.18g when compared to the Redmi Note 9, this should give a user a slight comfort when using the Redmi10 as compared to the note.
The Redmi10 also ditched the older rear fingerprint scanner, for a side fingerprint scanner that is intergrated in the power button, to give the Redmi10 a more cleaner rear than the Redmi Note 9.
Instead of side dot camera [which I prefer] on the Redmi Note 9, the Redmi10 uses a centre placed front camera cutout.
Storage: Both devices comes with 6/128gb version support, but only the Redmi Note 9 comes with a sd card slot support. The absence of an sd card slot will be an issue for certain smartphone users that will find the 128gb storage insufficient for their offline storage use.
CPU and GPU: though the Redmi10 and Redmi Note 9 uses different chipsets, they both have similar CPU and GPU configuration, other than name change and a few adjustments in the connectivity aspects, you should expect same game play and CPU performance from the Redmi10 as on the Redmi Note 9.
Camera: The camera is a bit on a give and take situation with both devices. The Redmi 10 despite coming with a higher 50mp rear camera, loses the fight to Redmi note 9’s front camera of 13mp.
Battery: The Redmi 10 and the Redmi Note 9 comes with the same 18watts fast charge support, the Redmi 10 is backed by a 5000mah battery, why the Redmi Note 9 comes with a slightly bigger 5020mah battery.
Price: Both devices are similar in pricing, as the Redmi 10 is priced around $189 for its 6/128 version, the Redmi Note 9 is priced at $186 for its 6/128gb variant.
What do you think? Is the slight price difference between these two a determining factor for you to stick with the much older Redmi note 9 that comes with a better front camera.
Or, you are okay settling with the newer Redmi 10 that comes with dual stereo speakers, a more recent chipset and slightly lighter in weight than the Redmi Note 9?
