Samsung Exynos 2400 Breaks Cover: 70% CPU Performance Boost, AMD RDNA 3 GPU

In comparison to the Exynos 2200, Samsung says that the Exynos 2400 provides a 1.7x jump in CPU performance and a 14.7x boost in AI performance. With enhanced text-to-image AI generation, Samsung unveiled a new AI tool for incoming devices that was shown live on stage.

The AMD RDNA 3 architecture-based Xclipse 940 GPU in the Exynos 2400 provides mobile ray tracing, which enhances shadow rendering, reflections, and global lighting for a more realistic gaming experience.

According to reports and a recent benchmark leak, Samsung's newest 4nm LPP+ technology is used to manufacture the Exynos 2400. The chip is anticipated to include a 10-core CPU with an ARMv9-based architecture in a 1+2+3+4 configuration. According to the source, there will be two Cortex-A720 cores running at 2.9 GHz and a primary Cortex-X4 core running at 3.1 GHz. The 3 Cortex-A720 cores running at 2.6 GHz and the 4 Cortex-A520 cores running at 1.8 GHz will handle less demanding jobs.

Exynos 2400 is anticipated to support UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X RAM. Additionally, it is said to offer 8K video recording at 60 frames per second and up to 320MP camera sensors with a brand-new proprietary ISP. The new Exynos 5300 modem will likely be integrated and provide 5G connectivity with NB-IoT, non-terrestrial networks (NTN), and satellite communication for emergency scenarios.
