Samsung Galaxy A15 vs Redmi Note 13 Design: Which One looks better?
Let’s kick start with the design aspect. Both phones look different and if you are familiar with the design of Samsung devices then you will know that the Galaxy A15 looks like the rest of Samsung phones in the S24 series lineup. Three cameras are arranged in a straight line on a glossy plastic back. The Redmi Note 13 also has a plastic finish with three cameras at the back. They are both prone to fingerprint stains but you get a case in the box of the Redmi Note 13. You get nothing in the box of the Samsung phone, just a USB C cable. The Samsung Galaxy A15 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that also doubles as the unlock key, while the Redmi has only an unlock key by the side. The fingerprint scanner is located on the display. let me know in the comment what you prefer: an under-display fingerprint scanner or a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. They both have a headphone port, but the Redmi has dual stereo speakers while we have a single down-firing speaker on the Samsung. The phones have a hybrid SIM card slot which means either you use two SIM cards or an SD card and a SIM card at the same time. Both phones are sturdy but as far as design and build quality I have to give it to the Redmi Note 13 4G especially if you flip both phones to the display. You also get an IP54 dust and water splash resistance rating on the Redmi. Talking about display let’s check out that aspect and see which is better.

Display Aspect Samsung Galaxy A15 vs. Redmi Note 13
They both have AMOLED display which is great in terms of color accuracy and contrast. The Resolution on both displays is 1080p and you get a 90Hz refresh rate on the Galaxy A15 and a 120Hz refresh rate on the Redmi Note 13 4G. peak brightness on both displays outdoors is also different the Galaxy A15 peaks at 800 nits while it gets up to 1800 on the Redmi Note 13 4G. When you place the phones side by side you will notice that the Redmi also has a more even bezel around the display. The chin on the button of the Samsung Galaxy A15 is noticeable. On top of all that the display of the Redmi is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 whereas we don’t know what display protection Samsung is using. So far Redmi has edged Samsung in every aspect of the display and it might justify why you have to pay more for the device. The display on the Redmi Note 13 is better than what we have on the Samsung Galaxy A15 and the Redmi wins the Second Aspect let’s move to Software and Performance and I think the Samsung might make a comeback.
Software Aspect
Well The Samsung Galaxy A14 is running on Android 14 and One UI 6 is the user interface. The Redmi is running on Android 13 and MIUI 14 is the user interface. Lets not even dive deep on the surface the Samsung is running on the latest Android OS and it will get at least 4 years of software updates. The same thing can’t be said about the Redmi Note 13 4G. The level of customization you get on both softwares is similar but the One UI 6 looks more pleasing in the eye. The MIUI feels bulky and Xiaomi has switched to Hyper OS with their software hopefully it will be available on the Redmi Note 13 4G soon. Software is an aspect where Samsung shines with support and overall user experience they take this Aspect and it might be the beginning of the comeback like we expected.
Performance Aspect
The Samsung Galaxy A15 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99, while we have the Snapdragon 685 powering the Redmi. They both handle performance nicely, but the MediaTek Helio G99 is slightly better than the Snapdragon 685. You can play demanding games on both phones at medium graphics, which will run normally. Multitasking is also decent. You can run multiple apps in the background on both phones. You get 8GB and 256GB storage space on the maxed-out variant of both phones, but Samsung has a 4GB, 128GB Model of the A15, and Redmi has a 6GB, 128 Model of the Note 13 4G. Samsung is ahead regarding performance on both phones, but how many more categories will they win? Let’s find out with battery test and charging speed.

Battery Test & Charging Speed
Both phones come with a 5000mAh battery outside the box and they both support fast charging. The Galaxy A15 supports 25 watts of fast charging while we have 33 watts of fast charging support on the Redmi Note 13 4G. They both have a remarkable battery life but the chipset powering the Redmi Note 13 is more battery efficient. Charging the Samsung A15 from 0 - 100% takes around an hour and a half while it takes just above an hour to charge the Redmi to achieve its full charge. You can get a full day of usage on both phones but this Aspect goes to the Redmi Note 13 4G it charges faster and lasts a tad bit longer.
Camera aspect Comparison
Both phones have three cameras, and we have a 108MP primary camera on the Redmi Note 13 4G, accompanied by a 2MP macro lens and an 8MP ultrawide lens. You get a 50MP primary camera on the Samsung Galaxy A15, a 5MP lens for ultrawide, and a 2MP lens for macro shots. Going by the numbers, you will think the images from the Redmi are better, but let’s find out by watching this video.
Rounding Up
If you ask me I will say you should spend more to get the Redmi Note 13 4G ahead of the Galaxy A15 because it offers more value for money. You get some accessories in the box as well as features that are not present on the Galaxy A15. The A15 migth have a better selfie camera, Software and performance but I don’t think it has any other great feature. What do you think about both phone? let us know in the comment section.
