Samsung Galaxy Fit3's Full Specs Leak Prior to Launch
In a bit of an accidental reveal, Samsung's UAE branch inadvertently spilled the beans by prematurely listing the upcoming Galaxy Fit3 smartband on its website. Building on the numerous leaks circulating about Samsung's latest wearable, the complete scoop is now available, showcasing detailed specs and images of the device. As anticipated, the Galaxy Fit3 promises significant improvements over its 2020 predecessor, the Galaxy Fit2, boasting a larger display, a more capable user interface, and an enhanced battery.
The 1.6-inch AMOLED screen on the Galaxy Fit3 has a resolution of 256 x 402 pixels. It is housed in a polycarbonate body with metal edges. Users may also customize their experience by making unique faces using images from their galleries, in addition to choosing from a variety of more than 100 watch faces. The gadget has an easy-to-use tile-based interface for navigation.
On the functionality front, Samsung doesn't disappoint, offering activity tracking for over 100 modes, along with sleep, stress, and heart rate monitoring. The smart band is equipped with a fall detection sensor and the ability to notify emergency contacts in case of an incident.
Managing notifications and media controls is within the Galaxy Fit3's repertoire, although voice calls are not supported. However, users can conveniently end calls from their connected devices and send predefined message replies. Lacking built-in GPS, the smartband relies on the paired phone's receiver for tracking runs. Notably, Samsung confirmed the absence of NFC connectivity and third-party apps.
Powering through the day, the Galaxy Fit3 boasts a claimed battery life of up to 13 days with regular use, complemented by a quick charge feature that propels it to 65% in just 30 minutes. Charging is facilitated by a magnetic two-pin proprietary charger.
Available in at least three colors—black, white, and pink—the Galaxy Fit3 weighs a mere 18.5 grams and is bestowed with an IP68 rating for durability. The only lingering uncertainties revolve around pricing and availability, details eagerly anticipated in the days to come.
