The Galaxy S24 series is scheduled to debut in January, and today, the Ultra model for the US market showed up on Geekbench. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (codenamed pineapple) chip, which will feature a 1+3+2+2 CPU arrangement, is specified for the SM-S928U handset.

The primary core runs at 3.30 GHz, which is slower than the Snapdragon flagship of the previous generation. However, the secondary cluster has three cores running at 3.15 GHz, the third has two units running at 2.96 GHz, and the final two cores are running at 2.27 GHz.

The tested phone has an inadequate amount of RAM (8 GB). It will also likely run Android 14.1, with One UI 6.1 on top.

The benchmark findings showed that a single core scored 2,234 while many units scored 6,807. Increases of 15% and 35% from the Galaxy S23 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 are significantly higher.

Not the actual results, but the indication that Samsung is once more aiming to diversify the chipsets is the key takeaway from this Geekbench listing. Some of the Galaxy S24 flagships will run on the Exynos 2400 platform, although it may just be the S24 and S24+, with the Ultra running only on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
