Samsung Launches Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ in India, Expanding its Tablet Portfolio

The Tab A9 and Tab A9+ have just been introduced in India after Samsung quietly announced its newest cheap Galaxy Tab A-series tablets last week.

The IPS LCD screen on the 8.7-inch Tab A9 has an 800 x 1,340 resolution and an 800Hz refresh rate. It includes a microSD card slot, a Helio G99 CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage that can be increased. There are three cameras: a 2MP front camera, an 8MP rear camera, and a 5,100 mAh battery with 15W charging support.

The larger A9+ comes with an 11-inch IPS LCD with a 1,200 x 1,920 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. 8GB of RAM and 128GB of extra storage through microSD are supported with the Snapdragon 695 CPU. The 8MP back camera and 5MP front camera on the Tab A9+ are identical. The battery is larger (7,040 mAh) and it has the same 15W charging speeds. Both tablets enable Wi-Fi alone and cellular connectivity and have Android 13 with One UI 5.1.1 pre-installed.

Dark Blue, Grey, and Silver are the available hues for the Galaxy Tab A9 series. The 4/64GB Wi-Fi alone trim of the Tab A9 costs INR 12,999 ($156), while the variant with cellular connectivity costs INR 15,999 ($192).

The 8/128GB trim of the Tab A9+ begins at INR 20,999 ($252), while the cellular model costs INR 22,999 ($276). Pre-orders for both tablets are currently being accepted by Amazon India.
