Tecno is a division of Transission holdings, a Chinese firm that houses Itel and Infinix. The Tecno Phantom X was launched few days ago.

Poco is a sub division of Xiaomi. Poco X3 pro is the more spicy sibling of the Poco X3 launched March this year.

The major drawback of the Phantom X is the pricing. There are at least 10 devices that offer better specification when compared to the Tecno Phantom X and that includes the Poco X3 pro, as the Poco X3 pro for it’s price offers flagship grade hardware like UFS 3.1, SD860, Sterio speakers, a mammoth 5160mah  battery coupled with an SD860 7nm chipset and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Tecno seems to be aware of the difficulty situation their pricing has left the flagship Phantom X in. Tecno is paternering with Easybuy to bring the Tecno Phantom X to as low as ₦1,299 installmental payments. Kindly Refer to Tecno’s Facebook page for more information.

But, the Tecno Phantom X does have some clear cut edges over the Poco X3 pro on paper in areas like camera configuration, display [amoled] and a better build quality [glass rear and back, as compared to the plastic back of Poco X3 pro].


Tecno Phantom X Review: Another Old phone in a New Wrap?



Tecno Phantom X and the Poco X3 pro have different market target. The Poco X3 pro is for users who want a premium performance but don’t mind sacrificing build quality.

But, Phantom X on the other hand, is targeting users that want that premium feel on their smartphone but don’t care about certain hardware drawbacks that comes with a low-midrange chipset like the Mediatek Helio G95, an outdated UFS 2.1 storage.
