Vivo Unveils X100 and X100 Pro Smartphones Powered by Dimensity 9300 Chipset

Vivo presented its newest flagship X100 series smartphones and a new wristwatch at an event that took place in China today. There are two versions in the X100 lineup: basic and pro. These are the X90 series' replacements from the previous year, with some significant improvements. The design language of the X100 pair is identical. The spherical camera module on the back of the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro protrudes, giving both devices a thin appearance. The 6.78-inch AMOLED screen on both phones has curved edges, 1.5K resolution, an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz, compatibility for HDR10+, and a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. The gadgets have a fingerprint sensor embedded in the screen. Additionally, the Vivo X100 pair is water- and dust-resistant, rated IP68.

A 50MP OIS-enabled primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP (50MP on Pro) telephoto lens with 3x optical and 100x digital zoom make up the triple rear camera configuration of the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro. The Vario -APO-Sonar lens, approved by ZEISS, is used by the super telephoto camera. The smartphones include a 32MP selfie camera on the front. Vivo's in-house V3 imaging technology allows for better photo quality and 4K video capture.

MediaTek's Dimensity 9300 SoC powers the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro smartphones. These are the first phones with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4 storage, thanks to LPDDR5T RAM technology (available exclusively on the top-end model). The 5,000 and 5,400mAh battery modules powering the regular and pro versions, respectively, allow 120W and 100W cable charging. 50W wireless charging is also supported by the X100 Pro. In terms of software, the devices come pre-installed with Android 14, which is based on OriginOS 4.

The Vivo X100 duo has USB-C Gen 3.2 connector, WiFi-7, 5G, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3 as connectivity options.

Star Trail Blue, Sunset Orange, White Moonlight, and Cheyne Black are the available color options for the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro. The 12GB + 256GB model of the X100 costs CNY 3,999 (about $550), while the 16GB + 256GB model costs CNY 4,299 (about $589). The smartphone costs CNY 4,599 (~$630) for the 16GB + 512GB version and CNY 4,999 (~$685) for the 16GB + 1TB version. The cost of the LPDDR5T RAM technology 16GB + 1TB is CNY 5,099 (~$699).
