WhatsApp Unveils Additional Text Formatting Options
WhatsApp has been experimenting with additional text formatting features for some time now. The latest update on these new features dates back to January and provided insights into the potential options WhatsApp users might gain if the app decided to implement them.
Fortunately, it seems that WhatsApp has finished testing these new text formatting features, as reported by The Verge. A total of four new text formatting options are now being rolled out to WhatsApp users across Android, iOS, Web, and Mac platforms.
Effective immediately, WhatsApp users will have access to block quotes, inline code, as well as bulleted and numbered lists. While these options are fairly self-explanatory, it's noteworthy that the inline code feature enables users to emphasize specific information within a block of text. To activate the inline code, users simply need to enclose the text with the "`" symbol.
In addition to these four new options, WhatsApp already offers four text formatting features: Bold, Italic, Strikethrough, and Monospace. Furthermore, each of the new text formatting options comes with a shortcut for convenient use on the go.
