WhatsApp Users Will Soon Be Able to Send HD Videos
Wonderful news! HD video support is now available on WhatsApp! The article doesn't need to be double-checked. Even in 2023, one of the top messaging services in the world is only now getting around to including a function like this.
WhatsApp finally enabled support for high-resolution photographs last week, and at the time, it said it would eventually add support for videos as well.
So that's today, then. Although the deployment has begun, it will undoubtedly be phased, so it may take some time before HD video functionality appears on your account. Don't worry; it will work on iOS and Android smartphones alike.
By using this feature, you will (optionally) be able to share 720p movies instead of the previous limit of 480p. To utilize it, choose the video or films you wish to share, press the new HD button at the top of the screen, and then click between Standard Quality and HD Quality (also known as 480p or 720p) in the dialog box that pops up. Additionally, the corresponding file sizes will be shown for your convenience.
The HD movies shared on WhatsApp are secured with end-to-end encryption, just like all other pictures and videos. The HD emblem will be shown to the recipient of an HD video.
