The Redmi 13C 5G, a reasonably priced smartphone with a next-generation cellular connection, a 50 MP primary camera, and an intriguing back panel design with starry motifs, was unveiled by Xiaomi. The phone is not the same as the LTE-only Redmi 13C in terms of its processor or camera.
The 6.74" HD+ resolution LCD with a refresh rate of 90 Hz is featured in the Redmi 13C 5G. Since an under-display fingerprint scanner is not supported by the panel, the sensor is built into the power key, which is located on the right side beneath the volume rocker.
The chipset, a Dimensity 6100+, has two performance cores that can run at 2.2 GHz and an octa-core CPU. RAM comes in 4 GB, 6 GB, or 8 GB, while storage comes in 128 GB or 256 GB.
If the rear cameras on the Redmi 13C 5G hadn't been there, it may have been confused for its LTE counterpart. The island has a distinct appearance, and we can only make out two snipers on the two large black circles. Redmi has not disclosed the resolution of the auxiliary lens in promotional materials or the official specifications sheet, but the 50 MP primary lens sports an f/1.8 aperture up front.
The 5 MP selfie camera, housed under a waterdrop notch, is a little drop from the 8 MP camera on the other Redmi 13C.
Despite having a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged at up to 18W PD via a USB-C port, Xiaomi's Redmi 13C 5G only comes with a basic 10W converter in its retail box. Two SIM cards with simultaneous 5G support can fit in the phone's dedicated microSD card slot located in the card tray.
Notable specifications also include a 3.5 mm audio connector, Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top, and a display protected by Gorilla Glass. Additionally, the phone is resistant to dust and splashes, which is a great feature for any budget phone.
Starlight Black, Startail Green, and Startrail Silver are the three colors available for the Xiaomi Redmi 13C 5G. The prices for 4/128 GB, 6/128 GB, and 8/256 GB will be INR 10,999 ($120/€110), INR 12,499 ($140/€130), and INR 14,499 ($160/€150) respectively, starting on December 16. The phone will be obtainable in India via Amazon.in, mi.com, and Xiaomi retail outlets.
